Five-Card Stud Game With A Twist

Caribbean Stud Poker Real Money Online GameCaribbean Stud Poker also popularly known as Five Card Poker or Cyberstud Poker is a regular in both land-based and online casinos. The game has its origins from the classic player vs. player poker, notably the Five Card Stud Game. The game, however, comes with a twist since the player competes against the house. The 52-card deck is used for the game.
The game was developed in the 1980s and has quickly gained popularity especially after casinos started adding progressive jackpot side betting, allowing players to win handsome winnings with a single hand.
These days, Caribbean Stud Poker is almost a staple in any online casino site since the play for real money online version is just as exciting as playing in land-based casinos.

The Online Version

Online versions of the card game are just as exciting as those found in the land-based casinos since the online ones mimic the real table in land-based sites.
Online players will be presented with the typical green felt table graphic. This table contains the standard table components of the game like the stack of card found on the right corner and the playing area of the dealer situated in the top centre. Both the minimum and max wager numbers can be seen on the left side. The player's area is at the lower centre and has the games’ progressive jackpot total as of the moment on the left side.

Rules of the Game

The player makes the "Ante" wager, and the dealer will start handing out five cards to the player and the house. The player's cards will be face-up while all of the dealer’s card will be face down except for one. The player then has to decide to either 'fold,' which means losing the ante wager or ‘call,’ where the player has to bet double the amount of the Ante wager. The dealer must then reveal the hole cards for comparison.

This card game also follows the standard high poker rankings except the dealer loses if his hand has neither an ace or king. The player gets the 2/1 ante if the dealer fails to qualify. The dealer becomes the winner if he has the king or ace and the stronger hand.  If a game results in a draw, then the stake is given back to the player.

Payout

Royal flush payout is 100 to 1; straight flush is 50 to 1, Four- Of-A- Kind is 20 to 1, Full House 7 to 1, and Flush is 5 to 1.
Straight is 4 to 1, Three- Of-A- Kind is 3 to 1, Two Pairs is 2 to 1, Pair is 1 to 1, Ace/King is 1 to 1, and House Edge is 2.56 percent.

Game Variants

Various software providers such as BetSoft, BWin, Cryptologic offer a different paytable for the call bet.
For example, if the hand is a Royal Flush, BetSoft and Cryptologic pay 200 to 1 instead of the usual 100 to 1.

Strategy

Bluffing is a common strategy for most poker games. However, there is no bluffing in the Caribbean Stud Poker games as the dealer will never forfeit the game and has to see all of the player's card.
One great strategy to use in this game is to raise the player has a pair or something higher regardless of the kind of pair the player has as it can increase the chances of winning.

Availability

Many software providers have their own version of Caribbean Stud Poker. These include Bwin/Party, BestSoft, Cryptologic, Dragonfish, Microgaming, Rival, OpenBet, Net Entertainment, Playtech, PlayNGo, RealTime Gaming, SkillOnNet and WagerWorks.
The game is available for download and can be played on smartphones and tablets running on iOS and Android. Most online casinos offer Caribbean Stud Poker with convenient payment options.
